With the BIG 5 0 rapidly approaching in July I thought I would “celebrate”  the occasion by running the London Marathon. This is something I have always wanted to do so I jumped at the chance when offered a place by Rose Road. The Rose Road Association is a great charity which has been supporting children with the most profound and complex disabilities since 1952.

Rose Road provide 3400 overnight stays a year for children and young people but would have the capacity to provide 4200 if they had the available funding. There are many families who are in desperate need of a little rest and support who could be helped if the charity had the funds. The cost of one extra night is £300 so if you could help me reach my target they would be able to provide an extra 5 overnight stays. Also under my employer ‘s Matched Giving Scheme I will hopefully be able to have my donation doubled. This would provide a total of 10 extra overnight stays which would make a real difference to 10 families.
