Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Having watched my daughter running this fantastic race in the last 2 years, I decided that on the 25th anniversary of my first half marathon it was time to give the 13.1 miles another shot. Im not promising to match the 1:35 I got in 1987, but running with 54,000 others over this famous route, I am aiming to finish in a time I can be proud of, with Helen, my daughter alongside me, and cheering team of my lovely wife, Maureen and fantastic masseuse and sports scientist other daughter Lou at the end to welcome to South Sheilds!

I am looking forward to running this race and am proud to support Calum's Cabin, a charity set up by the family of local Rothesay boy Calum Spiers who tragically lost his life to illness, but wanted to fund a respite cabin on Bute for other families to use.

Thanks again for your donation, I appreciate your suuport for my efforts, and donation to this excellent local charity. Please remember to gift aid your donation too, so that the charity recieves 25% extra back on your money.

Thanks again, Dave (and Helen)
