Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

(Do you like the video I've added on the left? It's from my good friend - well, I met him once - James McAvoy, famous actor from Last King of Scotland, Atonement etc. etc. He visited RETRAK's work in Uganda last year)

This year I've set myself the 3-2-1 Challenge of running 3 Races on 2 Continents for 1 Great Cause!!

The three races are:
Brussels 20km (May 25th) with 56 others in the RETRAK Team (did this in 1:53)
London 10km (July 6th) with my eldest daughter Nic
Great Ethiopian 10km Run (Nov 23rd) (with the street kids in our project)

It's over!!!!!!

I completed the first race (Brussels 20km) in 1:53 which I was pleased about. If you want to see a video of me finishing in Brussels click here! Note the big sigh of relief as I cross the line! (I'm in an orange shirt and cross the line slightly left of centre with my head bowed!!)

I managed to finish the British 10km on July 6th in 52:30 which I was chuffed about because I'd hardly trained since Brussels!! The weather was kind too - the light showers brought welcomed relief. Nic was under doctors orders not to run as her knee is painful and swollen. She was gutted, but we hope to do a run together in October.

I completed the final race in Addis Ababa in a very slow time of 1:14! My excuse is that I'd not trained, it was hot and the altitude of 2,500m didn't help either!!

I've never done 3 races in one year before so this was a big challenge!
