Im running the marathon in memory of my mum, she was born with a hole in her heart and needed major surgery which gave her a new lease of life and this is why i have chosen to run for the British heart foundation. Sadly she passed away four weeks before last years marathon. The total i raised last year was £700, however with your help I am hoping to raise £2000 this year. 
 9/3/08   I have just completed the stafford 20 mile race in 2 hours 31 mins . so im in good form for the marathon in just 5 weeks .
3/4/08    After a week off running with a sprained ankle, I'm back on track with my training and now I'm in all the newspapers , fame at last ?  It's also a milestone for me today as the total so far has gone over the £1000 mark . Thanks again for the very generous support .                                               

11/4/08 It's off to London town to pick my number up this morning . which is by the way 46593 . you can use it on the London marathon web site to see my results and photo's

3hrs 9mins 31secs ; Thats a massive 15 minutes off my best time . where that came from I don't know ? I never thought i could achieve this . The support along the way is untrue , just takes your breath away .
