This is a personal challenge of mine, to do the 135 mile Coast to Coast bike ride from Whitehaven to Sunderland, over 3 days.

I am doing it with a friend, Stephen who has also always wanted to do this ride.  We are doing the ride without any support vehicle, we plan to travel by train to Whitehaven to do the ride over 3 days staying in B&Bs in Penrith and Allenheads.  We are hoping the English summer weather in late June is kind to us.

It was my idea to use this event to personally raise some cash for a great local charity, The Great North Air Ambulance, as you never know when you might need them!

My friends and family can also do it the old fashioned way by signing my sponsor form if they wish, however Just Giving is a very easy way to donate.

Update 26th June, we sucessfully complete this challenge today, arriving in Sunderland just after 4pm on the 3rd day of cycling.
