I'm aiming to walk TWO MILLION steps in 92 days to raise money for Diabetes UK, as part of their one million steps challenge between July 1 and September 30. That means averaging well over 20,000 steps a day, every day for 3 months. That's nearly a THOUSAND miles, or 36 marathons. I'm a type 1 diabetic and I hope this challenge shows that walking is an accessible and achievable form of exercise.
Having said that, this is by far the most challenging thing I've ever attempted. By a LONG way!!
I'll regularly post updates on my progress and how it's all going. Please consider donating just a few of your hard earned pounds. I, along with all those affected by this illness, really appreciate anything you're able to spare. And I assure you every penny will go to the world's top scientists and medical researchers and will fund life changing work.
Thank you.
