We are pleased to announce that David Clulow has adopted Moorfields Eye Hospital as its charity partner for 2007

We are committed to the improvement of eye health in the UK and are supporting Moorfields Eye Hospital as our chosen charity for 2007. Moorfields is at the very forefront of treatment and research and by working to raise a pledged £50,000 this year we can help Moorfields to continue its invaluable work.  

The new Richard Desmond Children’s Eye Centre at Moorfields opened in February and has been designed to make hospital treatment as child and family friendly as possible, as well as incorporating research space and equipment for the prevention and cure of children’s eye diseases. We hope to raise in excess of £50k, to go towards a Multi Focal Recording System, a vital piece of research equipment for the centre, which allows staff to diagnose and monitor retinal conditions.

The David Clulow charity committee has organised a programme of events for the forthcoming year, including a Charity Auction, Five a Side Football Tournament and a Summer Party. There will also be a dedicated ‘Charity Week’ to promote the Charity Partnership within the stores as well as individual store based collections.

David Clulow MD, Richard Peck comments ‘We are very excited to be able to contribute to the development of such a world class centre. The children’s centre at Moorfields is something the community can feel really proud of and we are happy to be able to commit to such a worthwhile cause.’
