without doubt the hardest thing I have ever undertaken, multi-terrain, dune, rock, day, night, extremes of heat and cold, and negotiating both physical, and mental problems of a single stage endurance event.
photos of the event can be seen here,
and proof of my finishing....here!

Libya Challenge 2nd - 9th March 2008
New Foundations is a small Cambridge based medical charity providing care to remote villages in the Niger Delta.Nigeria is a hard region to work in and even harder to raise funds for.
New Foundations has NO paid admin staff and runs on £1500 a month. In the past two years 5O0cataract operations have been carried out, 16000+ patients treated,4000+ children vaccinated, and rain harvesting systems installed in eight villages. The Charity supports a doctor and ten trained Health Care Workers. At £4for a cataract op, 4p for a measles vaccination, and a child treated for malaria at 80p this is good value for money.....
What the funds will be used for:
'In 2007 New Foundations opened a remote rural Primary Care Centre, accessible only by boat in an area beset by high childhood mortality. The money raised by this challenge will underpin the Clinic's establishment over the next few years. Having seen the benefits of simple health programs first hand over the past four years I COMMIT TO COVER ANY SHORTFALL IF THE TARGET IS NOT MET.'
Genuinely, please give generously , very many thanks in anticipation!
David
