Our personal message:

Welcome to our fundraising page. We are the Midlife Cruisers and we aim to take the Landshark (17 year-old Toyota Celica) to the furthest Westerly point in mainland Europe... and back again (if it makes it!). The start line is in Rouen but we'll be travelling from the North-West. 2000 miles in 5 days - and the return journey - in a ropy old banger with 140k on the clock, driven by two ageing petrol heads... How hard can it be? We need to raise at least £1000 for gemin-i so turn out your pockets and make a donation - now! All vehicle and travel expenses come out of our own pockets so your money will go DIRECT to gemin-i to fund their excellent projects. Please dig deep and sponsor us online.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Africa Bookcase - Gemini will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor us now!

Many thanks for your support. A million thank-yous to all our sponsors and donors, with special mentions to the staff, children and parents at St Thomas' Primary, staff at MMU Film/Art History dept, Lyn Williams at the Ladysmith Centre, Linda Kersaw and Mike at Tameside Council, the Thursday quiz teams, the shoppers of Ashton, Fine Parts of Rochdale, all our family and friends and everyone else who's supported us.
