Hi and thank you for visiting this page.
In case you were wondering, Suzanne, Jessica and I are intending to cycle from Leeds to Liverpool (about 127 miles) on Saturday/Sunday June 14th/15th with many of Jake's friends in order to raise money for the charity Papyrus.
Jake left his mark with many of us as he was very much the life and soul of the party. He enjoyed living life to the max; living a rock stars life style without actually being a rock star! Having said that he was also quite a shy and modest person who was really quite sensitive and considerate; a very charming witty intelligent young man with undying loyalty who meant so much to so many people. We both feel very much in debt for the 21 years we shared together.
I would like to thank Jake's friends for their suggestion and organisation, although whilst this did seem like a good idea at the time I now realise that none of us have cycled in quite some time and there is the small matter of the Pennines!
In taking up this challenge in memory of our son Jake, our hope is that the funds raised by this event will help Papyrus to avert other young people from taking their own life. Details regarding the work that Papyrus carryout can be found on their website www.papyrus-uk.org
