On the day my father died last year I was due to take part in a triatholon in Bude, Cornwall. I decided at the time I would do the event this year and raise funds for a chairity. The event involves a sea swim of 500m, a 11 mile cycyle and 3 mile run and this takes place on my birthday the 20th June. Initially I intended to raise money for the hospice which helped my father in the last few weeks of his life. However, I am more about life than death and I recently stumbled across the River Thames Project and I would recommend you check out their website. As my father was a Freeman of the River Thames and a Waterman for most of his working life I feel he would approve and I hope you do too.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: River Thames Boat Project gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thank you for your support.
