The newly combined A Rocha Eco-Congregation team need your help. We have a fund raising mountain to climb to help all the churches who want to take better care of creation. And we would like to take your church up the mountain with us. David and Simon plan to climb the 3 peaks of Yorkshire in 12 hours. Pen-y-Gent, Ingleborough and Whernside are a well known hill walking challenge in North Yorkshire. If you will sponsor us we will take a stone with your name or your church's name to the summit of one of them and build a cairn there. You choose which summit you want to be on. We choose how big the stone is! We plan to do the challenge on the 16th of September.

You can even join us to make sure we do all three or to help us carry the stones. Just let us know if you want to come along but be warned it is strenuous day out requiring good boots, waterproofs and sound lungs.

We are raising money for A Rocha UK's Eco-congregation. It's a project that aims to provide churches in England and Wales resources to begin to engage in environmental issues as a congregation. With over 5 million people attending church in England and Wales, if everyone got on board, this would make a huge difference in our communities and environment. All proceeds will go towards updating the resources for churches which were written 10 years ago -- and a lot has changed since then!
