My story

Here he is. Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. I hope you weren't looking for something else.

I completed the London Marathon on Sunday 13 April 2008. I took my time, naturally, but got round in one piece and with little fuss, although the rain which played havoc with my hair at the 5 mile marker. I looked faintly hideous in tight sportswear and a fat headband. Photos on request after the watershed. I won't be doing it again. Back to the grape and grain in liquid form for me - and a solemn vow never to step foot near any gymnasia or energy cereal bar ever again.

Thank you to all for continued support. If you haven't done so already, you can still leave cash for my charity on this page. It's safe, legitimate, tax-clever and all that.

In the meantime, I'm off for a cigarette, 10 pints of London Pride and a filthy hot dog.

David Williams, Ladbrokes.
