Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
Liam and I left Surrey and headed to Portsmouth for the ferry to Le Havre and then cycled SE accross France and over a 2005m pass in the Swiss Alps. We then dropped into N. Italy and rode through the beautiful lakes. Today we are in fair Verona and heading for Venice, where Liam departs. Our longest day in France was about 130km but the hills and pizzas have slowed us down a little!
I will continue down the Croatian coast, up and over ALbania and Macedonia and into Greece then Istanbul, Turkey. I then fly to Delhi to meet another friend, Dan, with whom I will ride to Varansi, via Agra and Allahabad. We both did some training before but were limited by jobs, study and injury, and ended up throwing ourselves in at the deep-end. We're carrying tents etc so progress is slower than it could be. The diet has changed from bagguetes and camembert to ciabattas and pizzas.
If you would like to support this madcap adventure by donating to ICT, I can testify from past experience that your money will be going to a great charity.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: International Childcare Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thankyou all very much
David (and Liam and Daniel)
