My story

I'm back!.......

I'm too emotional to go on for long so here's the thing. I got through alive and I got round in about 5 hours 9 minutes 24 seconds. The first half was easy, but it was very, very hard work for the second half as it got far too hot in the Docklands from 14-19miles. I just have to say a massive, massive thank-you to everyone who texted or phoned en-route, I simply would not have got round that bit without your support. THANK-YOU XXXXX. Miles 19 to 25 were much easier mainly because of the amazing crowds, plus the fact that you have no feeling left in anything from the waist down by then, so you may as well just keep running as fast as you can to get back to your clean, dry clothes. Miles 25-26.2 were a doddle because I knew that my two lovely sisters were waiting at the 600metre mark, which is invaluable after 5 hours of running. THANK-YOU XXXXX. Also a massive thanks to you all so far for your sponsorship donations, I will give it a few weeks and post everyone to let you know how much I raised.
THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH..
Love Dave

Hi all,      Thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page.

And so it begins!,

Hi all, here's an update.

I have finished work, I have finished binge carbing, I have well and truly finished hydrating and I am just about finished with caffiene withdrawals. I have fasted, feasted, saved and prepared and now, at last, I think my journey begins. I have also managed to get down to my target weight of 202lbs, (from 218). Fay say's I am too skinny now? I am leaving early on Saturday to catch a train up to London and I am staying overnight at Megs in Blackheath. I am due to line up at around 9.45am on Sunday for the off and I have a time in my head that I have trained for and I am aiming at, but this will be hugely dependent on the weather and my foot. A massive thanks to those of you who have pledged support for me and my charity, THE CUTTY SARK TRUST, so far. Please sponsor me and get your friends and family to sponsor me for as much as you can now or on the day, it will make a difference. Most importantly please carry on with your messages, especially on the day. I am going to need all the help I can muster and you cannot believe how much difference it makes every time I get a text around the course. Please make sure I have your mobile numbers if you want to be in the loop. (the only place to be on Sunday!!!!).

Oh Yeah, the old boy who said he would sponsor me............. he's already paid, so i will get round now whatever!

Thank you all so much,
Speak Sunday.
Love Dave.
