This October, I will be cycling 305 km across Tanzania, Africa to raise money for
International Childcare Trust, an amazing organization, which although run on a shoestring from its London office, manages to reach some of the most vulnerable children in Asia and Africa.
I have been very blessed in my life. Sure everyone deals with obstacles in life and overcomes personal challenges, but the key is learning from those experiences, taking away the positives, and moving forward.
Unfortunately, for the children in Africa, overcoming basic challenges is a huge feat! It’s not the big stuff, it’s the small stuff. Things we take for granted everyday. Things like clean drinking water, a place to learn, and a safe place to play. Things you need to build a life. Those are the challenges they face every day.
That is why I am rising to the challenge of cycling through Tanzania. It is the least I can do for these children who so desperately need our help. I don’t have children of my own, so maybe my calling in life is to help all of the children who don’t have anyone else to help them. This is for the children.
My challenge is small compared to the challenges these children face every day. My challenge to you is to get involved and help. Think of what you spend on Starbucks every week... Any amount will go a long way!
