My story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. As some of you may be aware I am taking part in the 2009 Marathon des Sables. Billed as 'the toughest footrace on earth' I will be aiming to cover over 150 miles across the Sahara desert, carrying all my equipment and food for the week while running in temperatures of up to and sometimes over 45 degrees celcius.

I am running on behalf of Mencap and your donations and support are a massive boost for me personally and are vitally important to enable Mencap to continue their work.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Mencap will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
