We're building a meeting place, meeting needs, and meeting people. We are St John's Church in Beckenham, south-east London developing a modern centre for the community, providing care and support for a wide range of ages, with opportunities for all. We are setting a World Record for the most names in a Foundation Stone. If you would like to be part of our challenge please donate and tick the box to allow your name to be passed to St John's. Story

I'm taking part in the Fitbug Paris to Amsterdam Walking Challenge.   This involves walking 750,000 steps - the equivalent of 267 miles over a 12 week period.

The Challenge ends on the 4th January 2010, and in order to complete it I have to walk an average of just over 9,000 steps a day which is 4-5 miles - EVERY DAY FOR 12 WEEKS.  Snow, sleet or sunshine.  In the first 2 weeks I am just over target - 73 miles already under my belt.

Would you like to encourage me to complete the challenge by sponsoring me for Cornerstone?  Just 1p for every 1,000 steps will raise £7.50, 2p for every 1,000 steps will raise £15.00.

If I can get 50 people sponsoring me 2p for every 1,000 steps I know I will be raising £9 a day on average for Cornerstone.  That will really spur me on to complete the Challenge.

Updates on my progress will be given in the church notices.
