The 1352 Statutes of the College make clear that the Founder’s intention in 1348 was to establish a Collegiate body in the Castle to offer daily sung worship to Almighty God. The regular maintenance of the Chapel and the associated buildings, ancient and modern, remain a charge upon Collegiate funds.
