Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
It's over! I have finished (and survived) the GRIM CHALLENGE 2009!
My stop watch had the time as 1 hour 34 minutes and 50 seconds. I'll post the official time when it appears on the Grim website. There will be photos posted on the Grim website, you can search by the runners number (my number was 682). www.grimchallenge.co.uk/grim-original
I have posted photos and videos on this page so have a look!
I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone that donated and supported me for the event. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!!
The story...
The little munchkin in the picture is my girlfriend's niece, Abbie. In May 2009 she was diagnosed with a retinoblastoma (cancer of the retina) in her left eye. Since then she has had her eye removed to clear the cancer and now has an artificial eye. She has regular check-ups to ensure her other eye stays healthy.
Because of this I am raising money for CHECT who are a charity for families and individuals affected by retinoblastoma. They offer support and information, fund research and raise public awareness of this rare cancer.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
