I was diagnosed with breast cancer in August 2013. I had extensive treatment involving 3 operations, 6 cycles of chemotherapy and 20 rounds of radiotherapy. 

Along the way, I met some wonderful friends and, tragically, not all of them have made it. I am doing this Race for Life in honour of my friend Lindsay. She made me brave and I'll keep being brave in her name. 

Events like this are vital in funding Cancer Research UK's life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer. By sponsoring me, we can unite and create an army that cancer can't ignore. By sponsoring me, we will beat cancer sooner.
