Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
As you might all know, my son has a rare chromosome disorder and autism. He first walked at three and general mobility is still a work-in-progress at the age of six. His special school is fantastic and I recently helped to take some kids from school swimming at a public pool and realised just how hard the staff work to get all the kids on a bus (with wheelchairs and other essential equipment) and into the pool. Not to mention the lack of equipment, cost of transport and cool temperature at a standard public pool.
All special needs children deserve as many, if not more, physically and mentally stimulating opportunities as any other child. Therefore I am going to celebrate my physical abilities, that I took for granted before Nathan came along and attempt (!)the Chippenham Half Marathon in September 2009 in aid of the St Nicholas Appeal for a Pool aka SNAP.
Please give generously and thank you so much! Any probs on here please contact help@justgiving.net
