OMG WE DID IT!!!!! AND IT WAS HARD WORK

LONDON TRIATHLON SPRINT RELAY EVENT

Warren died 17th March 2007 and Rachel died 1st November 2007, SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy).  They  were both just 23 years young.  Their sudden passing came as a huge shock for their family and friends.  Both  families had never heard of SUDEP and were unaware there could be risk factors associated with Epilepsy.  It was only when they linked to the Epilepsy Bereaved website that they found there were other familes who had suffered a loss to SUDEP and that they had never heard of it either.

Through Epilepsy Bereaved a friendship has formed between Debra Hamer, her daughter Roxanne Healey and Sian Jones.  So concerned about the lack of awareness of SUDEP they have come together, with Neil & Jackie and Lisa Brewer to enter the 'London Triathlon' to raise funds for specialist services such as, informing and educating, promoting and funding research into SUDEP and providing specialist support services for those bereaved by SUDEP.

There are at least three epilepsy-related deaths a day in the UK. The majority are Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP). We care for the bereaved and work with families and professionals to make change. Using research and awareness, we strive to get the answers that will save lives.
