This is my 3rd year taking part in the event and while my body is slowing down the mind is as willing as ever, you can see the conflict within me... :)
The training is going well, brown beer and biltong every monday night.
This year the event is held on the 16th of July on clapham common, if you are around in the area do come and watch the display, it really is just like watching brazil...
The football marathon is a continuous 6-a-side tournament that runs for 12 hours (8.30am-8.30pm) non-stop. There are 32 teams that will be playing 20 min games on continuous rotation. We will play an average of 23 games of football during the day and cover approximately 32 miles during the day.
Please dig deep (or shallow) and help if you can.
