As some of you will no doubt know, I was diagnosed with testicular cancer a couple of years ago. An operation, some chemo, a full recovery and 2 and 1/2 years later - it's about time to generate some cash for one of the organisations that helped me, my friends and my family through a tough time.

I'm going to be part of a small group of diverse individuals from all over the country who have joined forces to organise and take part in their own Three Peaks venture, each for thier own charity. This is not an 'organised' event; we've planned and set the trip up from scratch, and will be covering the vast majority of costs from our own pockets.

Starting at 8am on the 30th August 2008, we're climbing the three tallest peaks in Britain. Snowdon (Wales), then Scafell Pike (England), then Ben Nevis (Scotland) - hopefully in just 24hrs (weather, injuries and traffic permitting!).
