Wainwright's Coast to Coast Walk · 3 April 2008

Community Hospice provides free end of life care to anyone living with a terminal illness in Greenwich and Bexley, supporting around 3,000 people each year. Our goal is to help everyone we care for to approach death in the way that suits their values, beliefs and lifestyle.

Story

Dick supported the Hospice last year when he walked the Pennine Way and raised over £1,000 towards Hospice funds.

This Year Dick has decided to do Wainwright’s Coast to Coast Walk, which is acknowledged to be the most beautiful walk in Britain.  It attracts walkers from all over the world and passes through three National Parks, The Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors.  Dick plans to start the walk on Friday 23rd May 2008 and has set his target of fourteen days to walk the 185 miles, which is graded as demanding and is a challenging target for a man in his 78th year.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor Dick: Greenwich & Bexley Cottage Hospice will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor Dick now!

Many thanks for your support.
