Help a London Child (HALC) was founded in 1975 by Lord Attenborough CBE, as Capital 95.8's charity to assist and give opportunities to thousands of London’s children and young people experiencing abuse, homelessness, disability, poverty and illness. Over the last 30 years the charity has raised in excess of £20 million and awarded that amount to over 10,000 small groups across the Capital, directly helping over 1 million children.

My personal message:

Hello and thank you for visiting my fundraising page. 

I ran in the BUPA Great Capital Run on Sunday 20 July in Hyde Park, completing the 10km course in 1hr 1min 52sec.  It was a great course and a fantastic experience to run with Paul and Chris and 11,000 other people!  (I think I may be hooked...)

I ran the Great Capital Run in aid of Help a London Child and any sponshorship I raise will go directly to them.  Donating through this Justgiving page is quick, easy and totally secure.  It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Help a London Child gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid plus a 3% supplement are added to your donation.
