Story

Following on from my first Great North Run in 2011, I've taken on the challenge once again in 2012.

I ran with the support of, and to raise money for, the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.  In all I raised £335 and would like to thank everybody that donated.  This year I'll be running for a charity that I've raised money for in the past with my 'tache exploits in 'Movember', The Prostate Cancer Charity.

My Grandad died because of Prostate Cancer so it means a lot to me.  Because of that I'd love to raise some big money for them, so I've set an initial target of £200.

I'll be running a number of events throughout the year to raise money, all leading up to the Great North Run.

As another target for myself, I'm trying to beat my previous time.  Last year I finished in 2:24:12, so I have a lot of hard work to shave some extra time off.

I'll be blogging about my progress every now and then @ The Geordie Geek and you can follow me on Nike+ as j.dixon10

Please tell all of your friends, dig deep and donate!
