Gary Kitchen is raising money for Sue Ryder
In memory of Chris Lyttle
Donations cannot currently be made to this page
Sue Ryder is here to make sure everyone approaching the end of their life or living with grief can get the support they need. There is no one size fits all when it comes to how we cope and the help we need, but with our support, no one has to face dying or grief alone. We are there when it matters.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

"We" are a team of 50-something year olds who, once a year, take down our bicycles from the garage wall, wipe them over with a damp cloth, search for weeks to find helmet and gloves, throw back our shoulders and suck in our generous stomachs and pretend that we are 18 again and can actually ride the bloody things for long distances.

2009 saw us complete the 146 mile Coast to Coast route in memory of one of our team members, Chris, who passed away peacefully that year in the care of the excellent Sue Ryder Wheatfields Hospice in Leeds - it looks like its become an annual event and July will now forever be known as "The month of the sore bum".

2010 saw us complete the Hadrians Wall C2C route and for 2011 we have chosen Dunbar to Sunderland using the Sustrans Coast & Castles cycle route - 120 or so miles of glorious coastline, beer in the evenings and sore bums again.

Chris will be laughing his socks off.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
