About my charity : Barnardo's Barnardo's
As one of the UK's leading children's charities, Barnardo’s believes in children regardless of their circumstances, gender, race, disability or behaviour. We believe in the abused, the vulnerable, the forgotten and the neglected. We will support them, stand up for them and bring out the best in each and every child. We do this because we believe in children.

My personal message:

Thank you for visiting the Atlantic Quest fundraising page. In January 2007 Team Quest will be attempting to break the Atlantic Rowing World Record, leaving La Palma in the Canaries and rowing to in less than 35 days, supporting Barnardo’s as they do it. They will have to encounter temperamental weather conditions, traffic at sea, as well as food and water rationing.

The French have held this record since 1992 as the fastest crossing, which is known as the ‘Blue Ribbon of Ocean Rowing’. They completed the crossing in 35 days and 8 hours.

Team Quest is made up of a group of Royal Marine Reservists who are all part of the British Ocean Rowing Team. The team have been training extensively for months already, undertaking a row from London to Paris , and competing in and winning the Great River Race.

Please dig deep and sponsor the Team online. You can track their progress on www.dommee.co.uk

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Barnardo's will receive your money faster and, if you are a taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor the Team now!

Many thanks for your support.
