Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I took this opportunity, not only to challenge myself physically, but to raise some money for Macmillan Cancer Support who have been supporting and advising my family after Dad was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2014. It hasn't been a smooth ride, but he is still fighting, and always has time for a joke and a song.
More than 1 in 3 people will develop cancer at some point in their lives and with our ageing population, this statistic is getting worse. Many of my family and friends have been affected in my lifetime, so I decided it was about time I attempted another challenge in order to raise some sponsorship.
Back in 2013 I participated in the RideLondon100 cycle event, raising £1845 for Cancer Research UK, but that was before Dad had been diagnosed.
Let's see if you can help me beat it on 31st May.
