My story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, your support will make a big difference to a lot of people.
I am running the Edinburgh Marathon to raise funds for PAGES as it has given our family so much help and support over the last 5 years.
We got involved with the group shortly after our son Andrew was diagnosed with having an Autistic Spectrum Disorder, and the support from meeting other families in similar situations was a great help at this time.
Over the years, our family has attended loads of activities provided by PAGES - it's great to have somewhere to go and something to do that the whole family can participate in and where there is an understanding and tolerance of 'different ' behaviours.
With your sponsorship, PAGES will be able to continue providing help and support to families with children with additional needs.
Training update:
Well....I did it!! Just!! It was such a hot day and I really struggled at times, but because of all your sponsorship and support I was able to keep going. So thank you all so much for that. I completed it in 4hrs 52mins, which was slower than I'd wanted to do it in, really, but the heat just slowed everything down. I'm more used to running in the cold, drizzly kind of weather that's the norm for up here! Thanks again for all your support.
