We are collecting to buy Christmas presents for all the young people who use Dost.
The young people are aged 11 - 25 years of age and are mainly separated young people, who have arrived in the UK alone and are either living in foster care, private fostering or in independent living spaces. We also work with local young people who may be in care or at risk of isolation in some way.
For some of the young people we work with, this may be the only present they receive and it is important to make them feel special and appreciated.
There are around 50 young people who use our project, who either attend our Youth Clubs or access our advice and advocacy or education service and we would like to spend £5 on each young person, as well as a card. We will buy them some sweets, some toiletries, socks and stationery for school or college and present them with their present at a dinner on the 23rd December 2011.
Any extra funding will be used to buy food and decorations for this event.
