Personal message:

Why donate to Green Thing? Your donation will enable Green Thing to make the fantastically creative content and features it needs to be the world’s most desired and talked-about environmental initiative - and that in turn will allow Green Thing to tempt as many people as possible in as many countries as possible to become green things.

All sizes of donation are totally welcome and (almost) equally appreciated – and please don’t forget the effect of gift aid. If you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. And if you are a higher rate taxpayer, you can claim tax relief on your donation which means a £1000 gift, for example, is worth £1282.05 to Green Thing and only costs you £769.24.

Please help Green Thing to make the biggest difference it can make. Thanks for your support, Naresh and Andy naresh@dothegreenthing.com  andy@dothegreenthing.com

PS. Green Thing launched on October 1st. As of  May 8th, 2008 our messages and content have been seen over a million times, we have had visitors from 159 countries doing 19,166 Green Things saving 2,294.85 tonnes of CO2 so far. (Coincidentally, this is what a Wembley stadium-full of Muse fans saluting a 1,793-hour long guitar solo with butane-fuelled Bic lighters would produce). The application for a registered charity is in progress. In the meantime your donation will go to the Lloyd Fund, the registered charity of pre-eminent lawyer and Green Thing trustee Stephen Lloyd, senior partner at Bates Wells and Braithwaite.
