Thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page.

In February 2010 I completed my sixth cycling challenge to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support - 680km (425 miles) in 8 days through Panama, Costa Rica and Nicaragua. It was a fantastic trip through some wonderful countries and as usual with a great bunch of people.

However I want to impress on all of you who may be thinking of sponsoring me just how tough a challenge it was - big climbs in very hot and humid conditions, some tricky off-road sections, pesky insects and camping (never pleasant in any circumstances).  And although I didn't encounter any giant beetroot there was some of the ordinary-sized stuff on occasions, which was extremely distressing!

So it's probably best if I don't mention the hot spa beneath the volcano at Arenal, luxurious chalets on the shore of Lake Nicaragua and the magnificent swimming pool in our hotel in Granada.

Most of you will be aware of the wonderful work Macmillan does in support of cancer sufferers and their families but if you want to find out more please take time to visit their website at www.macmillan.org.uk or for more details of this trip and the daily itinerary go to www.macmillan.org.uk/Fundraising/Bikingevents/CentralAmericaCyclingChallenge.aspx

My minimum sponsorship target this time is £3,500.  I've already put in an amount sufficient to cover the expenses of the trip so 100% of any donations made will go directly to Macmillan.

Donating through JustGiving is quick, easy and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. It's the most efficient way to sponsor me:  Macmillan gets the money faster and JustGiving ensures that, if you're a UK taxpayer, 25% in Gift Aid (plus a 3% supplement) is added to your donation.

So please dig deep and donate now.
