LOVE AND HUGS TO YOU ALL PAT AND SARAH X X

Hi to all who have taken the time to visit our just giving site and thank you.

It is always difficult talking about yourself but we will give it a go so you can get an idea of who, what and why?

Pat

I am a wife to John (33 years and counting!) proud mum to Sarah, Paul and Jason and grandmother to Paige, Jamie and Olivia.

I moved to when I was sixteen.  I am originally an Essex girl and proud of it, mind you I think now, apart from my lingering accent, I am more than .

I work for the NHS and have done for the past seventeen years.

Most of my spare time is spent with my family and friends but I am just about to take up walking on a huge scale so watch this space for our journey of training!

I knew as soon as I saw the leaflet about the challenge that I wanted to take part. This is a really huge personal challenge for me and who better to share it with than my fabulous daughter.

Sarah

I am wife to Jules and proud mum to Paige 11 and Olivia 5.

I am currently in my third year at University training to be a Mental Health Nurse, and next year I will turn 30! Thus when Mum told me about the challenge I thought what a great way to celebrate and raise money for St Barnabas. Whilst also spending some quality time with my Mum!

We have both supported this Charity for the past ten years and have taken part in various events and made donations along the way. It is one we both feel very passionate about, as it is a local hospice that functions purely on the generosity of the community it provides for. The New Build a Dream Hospice that is currently being built will enable St Barnabas to provide hospice care for the people who stay there and support family and friends on a greater scale.

Over the next few months we will be training as hard as we can to prepare ourselves for the challenge ahead and we want to show all of you that your generosity was well worth it. We will give you regular updates along our journey.

Both of us would like to say a big thank you to all who have supported us already, especially our family who have helped us enormously. Without you we would not be able to do this!

Love

Pat and Sarah
