Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
On the 22nd April 2007 I will be embarking on my first ever marathon, raising money for Motor Neurone Disease, in the memory of of my Grandad and a gentleman called Mark Williams. My Grandad was 78 when he passed away and although I was only young when he died, I can still remember many happy memories spent with him. Mark was only 41 when he was diagnosed with Motor Neurones and sadly passed away 18 months later. I knew Mark through Westoning Football Club where he was a chairman for 5 years, and was the sort of guy who would do anything for anyone.
Motor Neurone Disease which is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that attacks the upper and lower motor neurones. Degeneration of the motor neurones leads to weakness and wasting of muscles, causing increasing loss of mobility in the limbs, and difficulties with speech, swallowing and breathing. MND is a life-changing illness of where life expectancy in most cases once diagnosed ranges from 6 months to 5 years. If you would like more information about Motor Neurone Disease then please visit: http://www.mndassociation.org
I will be updating this website regularly to keep you informed how my training is going !
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Motor Neurone Disease Association will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please get out those wallets, purses and all those loose coppers floating around that you have and help a very worth cause.
Thank you for reading my page!
Many thanks for your support.
Dave

The Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association is the only national organisation in England, Wales and Northern Ireland dedicated to the support of people with MND and those who care for them. Our mission is to fund and promote research to bring about an end to MND. Until then we will do all that we can to enable everyone with MND to receive the best care, achieve the highest quality of life possible, and die with dignity. We will also do all that we can to support the families and carers of people with MND. Our vision is of a world free of MND.
