Being diagnosed with kidney failure is a life sentence

Even a transplant means years of drugs and hospital appointments-and no guarantee of a normal life

I work at first hand with kidney patients(as a Consultant Nephrologist)-many of whom will never be well enough to even have a transplant-and see at first hand how difficult their lives are

I am lucky enough to have the health to  have plodded 30 marathons so far
