Story

Here we go again.....

Some of you may remember that a few years ago when I was a student at Nexus we broke the Guinness World Record for team endurance drumming with a record of 52 hours and 15 minutes.  You may recall that I had a fit and blackout after about 30 hours but this year I am hoping to avoid that fate!  Recently this record has been beaten and extended to 60 hours and we want it back!!! So we're shooting for 64 and if we feel we can....72!

Here's the deal:
A team of us play continuously, note: IT IS NOT A RELAY; we all play at the same time.
For every full hour that we play we are awarded a 5 minute break to be used at any time.  This is the only time we may use the...facilities.
We have to play to pre-recorded music at least 2 minutes in length.
We must play in a style appropriate to the track.
We may have no more than 30 seconds between each track.

And there you have it!  We are encouraging people to sponsor us as a team (as opposed to sponsoring me as an individual) and per hour so as to give us more incentive to keep going, so for instance:

£1 a minute and us hitting our target would mean you sponsor us £64 you could opt to tick the bonus box.  This means you would give us an extra amount IF we beat the record so as to add further incentive to our effort!  For instance if you were offering a £36 bonus and we reached the target of 64 hours you would then give us £100!  Easy peasy.

50p a minute for 64 hours would be £32
25p a minute would be £16
10p a minute would be £6.40

Don't forget about the bonus box option!

Feel free to be creative with your sponsorship one person has sponsored us £1 per person per hour who are still playing when the old record of 52 hours is beaten!  So we earn nothing up to 52 hours but then potentially £18 an hour after that!

Thank you once again for all your support, hopefully see you after the 6th May!
