Duchess of Kent House Trust is the local charity supporting the Specialist Palliative Care unit in Reading, serving west and central Berkshire. We enhance the quality of patients' lives suffering with life shortening diseases by providing a number of therapies and support facilities. The charity also pays for 2 beds which would otherwise not be available at a cost of £190,000 per year. All this amounts to a fundraising requirement of well over £1000 a day, everyday of the year.
