TEAM: DUKES OF BIOHAZARD

We shall be driving 1200 miles (plus 300 to the start line!) in a K reg Ford Orion bought for £217 in hazardous fancy dress. We hope to raise a pound for every mile we drive.

The Sucata Run is an annual banger rally that takes place during the bank holiday weekend in August which is organised by Gemin-i.org. We shall be driving from Rouen to Cabo da Roca (Portugal), Europe's most Westerly point,  to raise money for charity. For more information visit www.sucatarun.com

Gemin-i.org is a UK registered charity that uses IT to solve problems in education and development. There’s loads of information about the charity, it’s origins and its current work on our website

Gemin-i offer innovative solutions to improve education in the developing and developed worlds. They work at bridging cultural, religious and digital divides between disparate people around the world. They specialise in using technology to give a voice to those who rarely have one, raising their concerns with policy makers and ensuring they are adequately represented. They want to instigate conversation, breaking down cultural myths and stereotypes in order to reduce conflict (of which there are too many current examples) and promote peace and understanding (which we feel is at an all time low).

We are raising money for the UK charity who help children and young people around the world talk to each other about issues that are important to them. In essence they get people talking to each other so that in later life they are less inclined to enact violence against other religions, cultures or states.
