Due to an injury i received when hit by a 4x4 truck riding home from work i am unable to complete my challenge this year, my aim is to go for it again on june 16th 2010.  i can only thank those who have supported me so far and will be looking for further support in the new year.

My Name is Duncan and a physiotherapist at BMI Mount Alvernia in Guildford, I have set myself a challenge. As a keen cyclist i am going to attempt to ride from John o Groates to Lands End in less than 72 hours starting on 22.07.2009.

This generally goes against much expert advice because i am going the opposite way than  is usual and will encouter the south west prevailing wind. This will certainly make life more difficult as there is likely to be a head wind for three days- who wants that? well, i guess i do!

The route is yet to be fully confirmed, but i am looking at close to a total of 900 miles, the support from my wife in this challenge is great and i am fortunate that she will be feeding and watering me on route as i try to tap out the miles.

This will by far be the most challenging ride i have ever set myself. Any support and donations you can give will be greatfully recieved and make the challenge worthwhile, more importantly it will make a difference to the charities
