My story

Dear Family, Friends and Colleagues,

From the 30th June I will begin the coast-to-coast walk. It will last 14 days. The journey begins at St Bees on the Irish Sea, and finishes at Robin Hoods Bay at the North Sea. I will be walking the whole 196 miles and a group of friends will be supporting me at different sections by travelling part of the journey.

I am undertaking this to raise money for our local Hospice, Queenscourt (Southport). It is nearly 12 months since my wife died. During her illness, Dr Whitfield and her team from Queenscourt made it possible for Jean to live her final days at home among her many friends and family. For this I will always be in their debt. It’s a fact of life that many of us are indebted to the work of hospices and many more will be in the future. They do rely on donations to do their remarkable work.

So I am asking for your support by sponsoring my walk. I would be grateful for any contributions.

Yours Faithfully,

Duncan Taylor
