Why your donation matters

6 million people in the UK are affected by dyslexia, that's 10% of the population.

Dyslexia can affect all areas of your life, not just reading and writing. It can cause low self esteem, anxiety, frustration and even depression if unidentified. Through our 26 centres, 158 outposts and our work in schools we work to improve lives through education.

Your donations could make a real difference to the lives of those affected by dyslexia by enabling us to continue with our valuable work.

£25 - could fund a one hour session of multi-sensory tuition £50 - could pay for a parent to attend an awareness course £100 - could help towards the cost of keep a local centre open for one day

Donate now, and help us to help others.

Case study: donations in action

If you are someone who knows the effects of dyslexia, you will understand the painful truth; words really can hurt.

Meet Stacey. She is 12 years old. Please read her letter http://www.dyslexiaaction.org.uk/in-focus

Thanks to donations from people like you we have been able to provide Stacey with regular support and, as you can see from her letter, this means a great deal to her and her family. The support we can deliver for people like Stacey is much more than just help with their dyslexia; the help we provide is life changing.

For every Stacey we are able to help there are sadly thousands more people we cannot reach due to limited funds.

Dyslexia Action needs your help to change the lives of many more children, young people and adults who come to us for help.

You can be a vital part of transforming lives through the provision of specialist support in 2012 by becoming a regular donor.
