In July 2010 I will be departing on a 4 year solo bicycle expedition covering roughly 40,000 miles. My aim is to reach each of the 'four corners' of the old world (Europe, Asia and Africa).
Starting in my home village in the UK, my route will take me through several deserts (including the Sahara, twice), the Himalayas amongst other mountain ranges, the Arctic Circle twice (once during winter in far Eastern Siberia), the jungles of central Congo, the Middle East and much inbetween.

I am riding to raise money for Future Hope which provides a home, education, medical aid and opportunity to some of the children of Kolkata who find themselves living on the streets. These children suffer extreme poverty and have little or no ability to change their lives. More than anything they need the love and security of a home. Future Hope now runs six homes where more than 200 former street children live and enjoy life.
