As you may have heard, Ed died suddenly of a stroke on Christmas Day 2009.  It was devastating for all of us who loved him.

Every year an estimated 150,000 people in the UK have a stroke. Stroke has a greater disability impact than any other medical condition. A quarter of a million people are living with long-term disability as a result of stroke in the UK. The Stroke Association funds research into prevention, treatment and better methods of rehabilitation, and helps stroke patients and their families directly through its Life After Stroke Services.

Ed was a wonderful person - so full of life and fun and laughter.  He was the most kind, generous and friendly person with great integrity and enthusiasm; an absolute joy to be around.  It is very difficult to imagine life without him, for certain it will be poorer and yet he leaves us with great memories and the privilege of knowing him.

If you feel like making a donation to The Stroke Association in his name, we would be most grateful.

Ed's memorial service will be held on Friday, 15th January, at 3.00pm at St. Margaret's Church, Lothbury, London EC2.
