My story

As Right to Dream continue to work towards their vision of establishing a residential golf academy on their new Sports Academy site located south of Akosombo in Ghana, they will continue to support local children playing the sport that they love through the supply of golf equipment.  Over the last year donations have been made to boys and girls playing recreationally and in formally organised programmes in Accra, Ghana’s capital.  For all these children, it is their first opportunity to play with their own equipment that is appropriate for their age and skill level – the impact of this simple donation of equipment cannot be underestimated.

Jacqui Abizie-McKendrick, has spent the last year collecting golf equipment to send out to Ghana to continue to support the passion, enthusiasm and skills of local children.  I now have collected 500 second-hand golf clubs sofar and some golf balls.

I am now facing the challenge of getting the equipment out to Ghana, and I am appealing for support to raise funds to cover the costs of collection, shipping and clearing of the goods.  If you are interested in making a donation to support this golf appeal and ensure that young people in Ghana have the opportunity to play the sport they love, golf and other sporting dreams, then you can donate to Right to Dream, which is a UK (1108821) and Ghana registered charity by visiting this site http://www.justgiving.com/edinburghgolfequipmentappeal-Jacqui-Abizie-McKendrick

I  would be grateful for any support you are able to offer.
