Hello everyone,

I'm off to John O'Groats in April 2009, taking a 1,200 mile route and including some of the hardest terrain and summiting the highest mountains in Great Britain.

I am hoping to complete the walk in 6 weeks, averaging 27 miles per day and only wild camping (so no hotels, YHA or B&B's).

The walk is designed to raise money for Help for Heroes, a group that offer help and support to the many servicemen and women injured in Iraq and Afghanistan. These people are making a huge sacrifice for our country and deserve our respect and a great deal more financial support than they are currently offered by the (Labour) government.

By sponsoring me through this site 'Help for Heroes' will get your money faster and they will receive 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement added to your donation.

I know it's time out of your busy schedules but if you could spare just three minutes and a couple of pounds, both myself and injured soldiers would be greatly appreciative!

Cheers guys and gals,

Ed
