Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This year I was aiming to do two shorter rides, both for Marie Curie, one at the start of summer and one towards the end, but the Cork-Dublin ride has sadly now been cancelled.  So now I'm concentrating on London-Amsterdam over August Bank Holiday. 

Gotta keep at it - my mental image, as my 63rd birthday approaches, is one of impending doom: behind me is another biker, face obscured, black cloak billowing and a scythe over his shoulder, but if I keep going, Ol' Father Time won't catch up just yet!

Fact is, I need all the encouragement you can offer, and it is really appreciated.

London to Amsterdam should be fun. JJ and I have done that one before, in 2003; it is not too difficult, so if any of you have never tried this before and quite fancy having a go, it's a good one to start!

Like all charities this year, Marie Curie are facing a big drop in their income from investments, legacies and donations. But the recession does not stop people getting cancer and needing their help.
