As many of you know I am climbing Mount Meru in Tanzania for charity on the 26th of May and I would love your support!

The Charity is Chabad House Hendon. Now i know not all of you know about Chabads work and they clearly dont have the same initial emotional pull as the various other invaluable charities that save/protect lives. However consider this if you will

Enriching a life and providing the foundations of a community is also very important and Chabad through their work provide literally thousands of people with a range of services ranging from Yom tov meals to Jewish Education.

For the past two years Chabad House of Hendon has constantly scaled new heights in the spiritual journey of Jewish London. Some 500 people come through the Chabad House every week for classes, services, Friday night dinners and of course just to meet people and schmooz. Then there are the special events, guest speakers, parties and seminars. The Simchas Beis Hashoeva last Sukkot attracted some 800 people to the streets of Hendon with dancing and celebration.

Whilst a lot of this is fun it is also an invaluable and serious part of the community.

Chabad is changing people’s lives for the good by answering the strong need in the community for an exciting, non-judgemental, warm and inspiring centre for Jewish people young and old.
